As I was drinking a Lagunitas Maximus IPA, I stumbled across Zac Barfoot's bedroom pop project on Soundcloud.

This young man from a little village called Silverdale in the UK goes by the name of Sun Drift and makes mellow indie pop that serenades you into a peaceful slumber. His Tied  EP was released last December so I'm a bit late on the bandwagon but I'm happy to have found his tunes.

Inspired by Mac DeMarco, Real Estate, Girls, and the Beach Boys, Sun Drift's music is timeless, warm, and serene. If his music was a pillow, it would be stuffed with the most luxurious duck feathers and would feel as light as a cloud.

Delicate acoustic guitars accompanied by buttery vocals make for a pleasant listen while sipping on a sour beer in a hammock. If you didn't guess by now, I really like beer which is another way to say I'm an aspiring alcoholic.

Favorite track: "Over Time"

Check out his Bandcamp page to download his debut EP.
