Best Valentines Day Gift Ideas for Her
February 05, 2016The most romantic holiday is fast approaching and you haven't bought a gift yet, have you? Well, thank your lucky stars that I've compiled the only gift guide you'll ever need. Although Valentine's Day isn't all about gifts, they're quite an important aspect of the holiday, especially when it comes to gifts for her. So, what do women really want?
Do they want chocolates? Do they want jewelry? Do they simply want a nice candlelit dinner? The answer is all of the above. Go all out. Show her how much you really care. You can make any girl feel special if the gifts are thoughtful. And enough stalling. Here are the only gifts she'll need this Valentine's Day.
1. Chocolate
Sure, you may think that chocolate is an no-brainer Valentine's Day gift, but not all chocolates are created equal. Tanya Ponder is the brainchild of Wanderlust Chocolate*. Her Italian Truffle Collection is to die for. Figuratively and literally. Having to choose from the three chocolates in her collection was like choosing between my non-existent children. But if I had to choose, Civitavecchia (dark chocolate, fig, and star anise) was as close to nirvana as you could get. The best part about her chocolate is that she can create custom favor collections where you can pick the label, the paper that wraps around the chocolate and the flavor to go with your special occasion.2. Soap
Every girl needs some pampering on Valentine's Day. Pamper her with this Pinot Noir bar soap from Rewined*. The hand-crafted soap features notes of cranberry, fig, leather and violet making it a true delight to use. Rewined makes soaps that mimic the scents of specific wines. It's a great way to start Valentine's Day morning or any other time. I used it and didn't want to leave the shower because the soap scent smelled so good.3. Candle
Candles set the mood, especially Rewined's* Mimosa Candle. The spring scent made from premium natural soy wax and a recipe of champagne and fresh squeezed orange smells deliciously sweet. I almost wish it was edible. The company makes these candles from repurposed glass, bringing new life into what was once a discarded item. Their look is very sleek and elegant and could adorn any table on your romantic date.4. Jewelry
Jewelry is a must-buy gift during Valentine's Day. If your girlfriend, wife, or friend says she doesn't like jewelry, she must be a sociopath. If she isn't a cold-hearted robot, purchase this infinite love infinity ring made from sterling silver by Dogeared to show how much you love her. Handcrafted locally (California), this ring is simple, elegant, and lets your loved one know that this relationship isn't just for now, it's forever. I got this ring for my girlfriend two years ago for our one-year anniversary and she hasn't taken it off since. It's more than a ring, it's a sentiment.
5. Massaging Wrap
It wouldn't be Valentine's Day if you didn't include a little r&r. I got this massaging wrap at a work party and I love how easy it is to put on and enjoy the vibrating waves of relaxation. Any girl will love this massaging wrap by Nap (sold at Brookstone). It's soft, plush, and isn't restricted to neck use. Use it on your ankles, elbows, lower back, anything that needs soothing. My girlfriend loves massages and I love to avoid them, so it's a win-win for us. It runs quietly and it provides neck support even without the vibration turned on.
6. Bluetooth Headphones
Although it may be the least romantic gift on the list, these bluetooth headphones made by iHome combine functionality with practicality. Any music, podcast, or video lover would enjoy these immensely. The sound is crystal clear and there are no cords or cables involved (there is a God!). Listen to your smart phone up to 30 feet away. And with a full charge of the lithium ion battery, listen for up to 8-10 uninterrupted hours. What more could you want?
So there you have it folks. You're complete, comprehensive, perfect Valentine's Day gift list. Any person would love these thoughtful and fun gifts.
